Performance

The British Cement Association has published its fourth corporate responsibility report for the industry as a whole.

Highlights of the Performance report shows:

Carbon dioxide emissions decreased by 29% between 1990 and 2006  - over 3.9 million tonnes.

Over a million tonnes of waste used.

Use of fossil fuels reduced by over 23%.

The report details further progress in the industry's contribution to the UK sustainable development agenda.
